about

An ode to our hero's fortunate headwear dilemma.

lyrics

He Looks Good In A Beret

Since he was a kid he could never find
A decent haircut that would suit his face
All the comments heard would be far from kind
So a hat would always be in place
In a bowler hat he looks like a fool
Like he's in some silent comedy
Put a boater on he looks far from cool
He says," A baseball cap is not for me."
Trilbys don't fit very well
He would not be caught dead in one
A type has him under a spell
And he has the perfect head for one

He looks good in a beret, He looks good in a beret
All of his family will say, He looks good in a beret

Wore fedoras once, they did not look right
But he did it cause they were in style
Tried a porkpie too, it was quite a sight
He was dateless for the longest while
In cowboy hats he disappears
He'd just wear one if for a joke
A top hat might conquer his fears
If he could wear a matching cloak

He looks good in a beret, He looks good in a beret
He shapes it so many ways, He looks good in a beret

One thing he feels is really so unfair
And never fails to leave him in despair
Is when it's used a part of military wear

He looks good in a beret, He looks good in a beret
Right on his head it will stay, He looks good in a beret
