about

Where we become acquainted with our hero's curious quandary.

lyrics

The French Community

New York's famous for its Chinatown
Just as much for Little Italy
But where in town can all the French be found?
Where can they be?
Astoria is occupied by Greeks
The Irish love to stay in Sunnyside
The French are quite a bunch of little sneaks
Where do they hide?

He's looking for the opportunity
to infiltrate the French community
The French Community

He needs to hear some H's disappear
Maybe pick up some new fashion tips
Share some wine instead of beers
In elegant sips
In New York there is always some parade
For every single nationality
The French are never marching or displayed
They'd much rather ski

He's looking for the opportunity
to penetrate the French community
The French Community

If he gets in a French-only crowd
He might pick up their traits naturally
And he thinks that he might be allowed
To meet French women more easily

Anything that's French related here
He'll become an instant vulture for
All his friends will call him loud and clear
A French culture whore

He's looking for the opportunity
to permeate the French Community
The French Community
